Martello Tower.

The Ardagh Hill tower, one of the 5 Martello towers built on Bere Island by the British in the early 19th century. The inside and roof of the tower was renovated in xxxx. The Martello tower on Clochlann Hill with its rock cut moat has not been renovated so going inside is dangerous, but visiting it makes a fine walk from The Lodge.
